<p>PURPOSE:To relatively readily perform gradation recording which is subjected to relatively less influence produced by temperature characteristics of light emitting elements. CONSTITUTION:A phase and a width of an electrostatic latent image formed on an electrophotographic sensitive body 24 are controlled by controlling a start timing of irradiation and a duration of irradiation with respect to a LED array 401 disposed to face a surface of the electrophotographic sensitive body depending upon a phase information (phase 0 or 1) issued on the basis of a recorded image and a duty information (50% or 100%). Accordingly, it is possible to prevent degradation of a reproduced picture such as edge fading by means of combination with an image processing such as dither processing and to attain high quality through representation of a desired halftone.</p> |
