<p>PURPOSE: To provide a refrigerator having a fermenting function for maturing pickles. CONSTITUTION: A refrigerating system includes a first compartment used solely for cold storage and a second compartment used as either as cold storage or fermentation. In the fermentation mode, refrigerant is directed through first and second flow passages to first and second coolers 6, 7 in parallel and a heater 12 is driven. In the cold storage mode following to fermentation, refrigerant is directed through the second flow passage to the first and second coolers directly. The function is switched by switching a solenoid valve 9 by means of a microprocessor.</p> |
