Unit for cleaning and decontaminating safety gloves, in particular for the meat-processing industry. These gloves, which are composed of a surface consisting of a "fabric" of fine rings, have hitherto been cleaned by placing them on a surface and spraying them externally via a high-pressure cleaner. This cleaning method is inadequate and is improved by means of a closed unit in which the gloves are sprayed from the inside outwards by means of a rotating, convex (spherical) nozzle, and the glove is also rotated, so that the centrifugal forces throw the dirt outwards onto the inside of the unit, where the dirt is rinsed away by a separate flow of water and is discharged from the unit.
