<p>Mechanism for producing a relative oscillatory motion between the mould and the as-cast piece in continuous casting systems, characterized by a strong plate supporting the mould, mounted so that it is free to move parallel to the common axis of the mould and the as-cast piece, and is subjected, in one direction, to the action of actuator means which can impart a high-frequency oscillatory motion to it, and, in the other direction, to the supporting and retaining action of balancing and damping means, all the said means operating exclusively in the same direction of movement as that of the mould support plate and the as-cast piece. <IMAGE></p> |
