Proposed is a control system for electrical consumer devices (19), the system having a control device with a transmitter and control units with a receiver (16). The control units have an evaluation unit (17) and a device-operating unit (18) which is controlled by the evaluation unit and controls the devices (19). The processing unit (17) differentiates between control signals and "scenario" commands. On reception of certain scenario commands, the status of the device-operating unit (18) and hence the status of the device (19) can be stored and reproduced again. Preferably, a separate converter can also used be which processes the signals received from the transmitter and feeds them to the device-control units.
