The cooling device has separate channels (11-18) with water intakes and outlets. Each channel extends tangentially to the inner bore (20) of the flame ring (3). A ring gap is located between cooling water ring and flame ring. The narrow gap connects cooling water ring channels, located above each other. The channels are located in inclined planes. The water intakes (9) open into the lower ring channel, the water outlets (10) open into the upper ring channel. The channels are positioned, so that they are closest to the heated inner bore (20,21) at the point, where it is heated most by the combustion. USE/ADVANTAGE - For Diesel engines. Can be made simply in flame ring or bush head. Guarantees continuous cooling water flow for optimum cooling effect.
