In forming the casting unit (6) an intermediate casting (Figure 6) is made consisting of a monolithic body, which is annular in shape and has a vertical axis (10), an annular flange (72) outturned about the axis, a set of lugs (110) monolithically outstanding in the aperture thereof, and a groove (114) about the outer periphery of the casting in the upper portion, with mullions (20) monolithically upstanding, adjacent the outer periphery of the groove, to form ports (112) a series of holes (118) is drilled through the inner portion, to interconnect the groove with the cavity (108) in the lower end of the casting. Where the liquid coolant discharge means is a liquid coolant box, a leakage detector (17) is provided. The leakage is discharged at the bottom of the casting unit.
