The appts. has a coating device (1) plus main tank (2) and secondary tank (3). The main tank is filled with a water dispersed lubricant and is thermostatically controlled. It is connected by a pipe to the coating device through pump (9) and valve (11), the pipe in the tank being well below the minimum allowed level of lubricant. There is a filter (8) in the pipe union. There is a return feed from the coating device to the tank. All the pipes entering the tank (there are several) end below the minimum allowed lubricant level. USE/ADVANTAGE - For coating wire prior to wire drawing. Gives continuous coating of defined thickness.
