The lumbar region support has two upright frames holding a spring. The degree of deformation of the first end part (16) of the bilateral, asymmetrical torsion spring is less than the degree of deformation of its second end part (17). The drive mechanism has a segmented cog wheel (9), and a component rotating in relation to a second frame. The second end of the bilateral asymmetrical torsion spring is fixed to the driven component which turns by means of a bushing (8) with hole in it (8). USE/ADVANTAGE - The lumbar region support is comfortable and prevents uneven forces from being exerted on the sitter's back from the support plate.
