Sensitive liq. transport device - provides suction lift action e.g. in biological clarification plant

A sensitive liq. transport device, e.g. for biological clarification plants, has a riser tube (14) with its upper open end terminating in a collecting chamber (15) which has a bottom delivery opening (17) positioned higher than the lower liq. level. For reduced pressure prodn., the collecting chamber (15) is closed and has a top opening (18) connectable to a reduced pressure generator (19). ADVANTAGE - The device is a suction lift-type device which, unlike pressure lift devices, has no deleterious temp. and pressure effects on sensitive liqs., e.g. clarification water contg. bacteria cultures. Several such devices can be ganged to provide increased lift heights, e.g. of more than 6-7 m.
