<p>An NC machining program for an NC lathe provided with numbers of tool rests is easily and reliably checked. On the display screen of a CRT/MD 170 are provided two display areas, a first display area including sub-areas a1 to an for animating a work 100 projected in the direction Z of the main shaft of an NC lathe, that is, in the direction of the axis of a tool (102), and a second display area for animating the wook (100) projected in the Y-axis perpendicular to the X- and Z-axes. An NC machining program for Y-axis machining is simulated for every position Υi (i = 1 to n) at which the main shaft is positioned to perform Y-axis machining such as engraving. The trace and profile of a tool (102), and others are displayed in the first display area and the second display area simultaneously.</p> |
