Mfg. food containers with high m.pt. - by coating paperboard board containers with layer of melted mineral powder

In mfr. of food containers, e.g. margarine or yoghurt tubes, with a high m.pt. using paperboard, the paperboard containers are coated with a layer of melted mineral powder. The layer is introduced into a hot carrier gas in the form of particles and melts in the gas. The container is initially coated on the inside with simultaneous cooling from underneath and lateral outside cooling. The outside is coated subsequently with interior cooling. ADVANTAGE - The containers are light and easy to dispose of through reuse. They are suitable for foodstuffs.
