A wire-electrode electrodischarge machine which supplies a pulsating current from a power supply circuit to a wire electrode through two feeder elements. The change of the discharge currents flowing through these two feeder elements with time (i.e. current differentiation value) is detected. The results of detection are used to obtain data relating to the discharge position and thus determine whether or not any change with time of the discharge position. In other words, whether or not a concentrated discharge occurs is judged. On the other hand, whether the difference between the currents in the two feeders is within a predetermined range to check for any wear or inferior contact in the feeder elements.
|
