The wall is constructed so as to be fireproof and also act as sound insulation. It has several wall elements (1) which may be hollow or completely filled with insulation material. There may be a fire insulation plate (2) in the centre of each panel with open texture sound insulating material (5) on either side. Outside this material there are acoustic insulating facing plates. There are coupling rails at the top and bottom of each panel with trapezoidal grooves, wider at the bottom than at the top. Metal clip members (7,8,11) engage the sides (11) of these grooves to hold adjacent courses of the wall panels together. Vertical columns and cover plates hold adjacent blocks of panels together. USE/ADVANTAGE - Simple construction of sound-insulating and fire resisting wall using panels fastened together.
