A plug socket (4) is fitted in the module housing (3). Open sprung contact pins (5) are fitted in the socket and contact the plug pins or sleeves of a coupling device (2). Pref. a pneumatically releasable and arrestable device secures a plug inserted into the plug socket. The contact is movable between two contact test positions against a compression spring force. In the second contact test position,it contacts an arrest test contact. Pref. the latter is shaped as a needle, surrounded at least partly by an insulator. USE/ADVANTAGE - For car cable harness. Easy fault detection.
