Aq. dispersions useful as finishing agents/softeners for textiles

Aq. dispersion comprises: (a) at least one cationically modified hydrocarbon wax and opt. at least one non-oxidised hydrocarbon wax, as wax component; (b) at least one opt. amino-modified and/or non-ionically modified polydiorganosiloxane, as polydiorganosiloxane component; and (C) a non-ionogenic, cationic or amphoteric dispersant system, as dispersant component. Compsn. also pref. contains at least one acid and/or at least one base for pH-adjustment, (e) at least one organic solvent and/or hydrotrope, and/or (f) a preservative and/or a scent.The dispersions are prepd. by mixing an aq. dispersion of component (a) with a aq. dispersion of (b) contg. at least some of component (c), and adding components (d), (e) and (f).
