Microwave application, esp. for drying of materials

In microwave application for drying materials, esp. loads of stacked goods, which have at least one constituent with microwave absorption capacity, in a phased mode of operation, at least two separate loads (LD1,LD2) of such goods with different microwave absorption capacities are subjected to a common microwave field in the same phase. The installation comprises at least one microwave chamber (MK) with an attached microwave application device. The chamber has at least two, pref. opposing doors (LT) for loading and unloading, and a passage between the doors with a transport mechanism (TE) with places (PL1,PL2) for the loads (LD1,LD2). There is a control system incorporating load rest position sensors for the drive of the transport mechanism. At least two separate loads of moulds or mould cores (FKR) for a metal casting plant, with different microwave absorption capacities, are subjected to the common microwave field. Since the loads enter and leave the chamber one by one, at any time different loads in the chamber have had different exposures to microwaves.
