Touch tracer tip for a wheel set locating and measuring device used on numerically controlled machine tools, characterized in that it has a body (3) rigidly fastened to the swinging element (2) of the already known sensor (1) which body (3) is equipped with tracers (4, 7) seated on its both sides and a surface (8) situated between the tracers, whereas the tracer (4) has touch edges (5, 6) and is situated on the internal side in relation to the transverse symmetry plane of the touched wheel set, and the surface (8), most preferably cylindrical, is situated at a larger distance from the axis of the set than the edges (5, 6) of the tracer (4).<IMAGE>
