摘要 The high-duty fastening element is made of a cold-hardenable material. The material is hardened by means of a cold forming process so that the strength of the critical fracture zones is improved in such a way that fracture frequency is uniformly distributed over the length of the fastening element. After the necessary hot-forming and machining operations, the fastening element is subjected to further forming operations with the intermediate annealing of the sections undergoing the severest form changes. USE/ADVANTAGE - In situations where weight minimisation is necessary or advantageous. Uniform strength is attained over the entire length of the fastening element.
