The invention relates to structures, elements and processes for joining one end of a tubular component to one end of at least one other tubular component, both having a terminal connection device 2, comprising a first portion 4 which is shaped so that it can be fastened to the end of the said tubular component. A second substantially planer portion 12 of the terminal connection device 2 has two opposite edges 14, 16 which extend in the longitudinal direction of the said tubular component. Recesses of the notch type 18 are mutually aligned and extend from each one of the said edges 14, 16, in a direction which is substantially perpendicular thereto. The width of the notch-type recesses 18 is at least equal to the width of the second planar portion 12. The distance between the upper and lower edges 14, 16 of the said second portion 12 exceeds the greater external dimension of the tubular component in such a manner that, when assembling the tubular components and the terminal connection devices 2, a space is produced between the overlying tubular components. <IMAGE>
