A remote control switching or control device, whereby a number (at least one) of receiver circuits are activated by acoustic impulses generated from a pyrotechnic explosive emitter (10). The emitter (10) generates a number of impulses. The receivers have several receiver channels at different frequency bands within the emitter frequency range. Each receiver channel has an impulse detector and the output from each of these are combined in a logical AND-gate. A comparison circuit compares the results of the AND-gates with a coded emitter signal and if agreement is obtained an activation signal is sent. USE/ADVANTAGE - The remote control device is especially intended for mine warfare. A number of mines within a mine field having been laid out, a sender device is then used to arm them all. Due to the coded nature of the emitter signal that can be sent out, a high degree of security is obtained against third party intervention or against a false arming of the mines.
