Electrochemical cell employing solid polymer electrolyte [4] having a five-layered sandwich structure, cathode collector, cathode [3], ion exchange membrane [4], anode [5], anode collector [6] assembled by applying forces to the outer surfaces thereof by means of tightening plates [1]. Since no heat treatment is required for assembling the electrochemical cell, the distortion or the like produced due to the heat is not generated.
