In the production of wheat starch there is obtained, besides the A starch and the gluten, a residue which contains the B starch, the pentosans and the solubles. This residue can, according to the state of the art, be further processed only to low-priced products. The process according to the invention for further processing of the residues is characterised in that the residue which has been saccharified to hydrolysate is subsequently fractionated by crystallisation to dextrose and molasses. |
