HUMAN ENGINEERING VASCULAR ACCESS NEEDLE

PURPOSE: To present an ergonomic vascular access needle. CONSTITUTION: This needle is constituted from: a metal tube surrounded by a thin wall having a lumen 46 which freely spreads from an opening part 33 at the terminal end of the tube to the base part of the tube; a transparent plastic main body having a terminal end and a base end, wherein at the end of the main body, there are a seal for maintaining pressure at the base end of the metal tube and further a long capillary lumen 22 hydraulically communicated with the metal tube lumen. This main body further includes a base part with a cylindrical chamber. The length of the lumen is greater than the length of this cylindrical chamber, and besides, the diameter of the capillary lumen 22 is smaller than half the diameter of the cylindrical chamber. A plunger 40 having a washer at the terminal end having a seal for strongly holding pressure within the cylindrical chamber of the main body and the washer are adapted to move slidingly within the cylindrical chamber.
