The invention concerns a compound system made up of frame pieces and joints, the joints being in particular four-part joints. Pairs of parts form a first and a second unit (2a, 2b; 3a, 3b) which can be rotated with respect to each other about a common axis (18). A frame piece (11) is preferably associated witch each of the first and second units. The frame pieces (11) may be connected to struts (17) and a filler element may be fitted between the frame pieces (11) and the struts (17). In addition, bearing struts (21) with a bearing element (23) are fitted between the joints. The compound system is designed to be used in the production of room-furnishing elements such as folding screens, shelving and wall-holding. |
