PURPOSE:To reduce the consumption of a current with respect to a supply voltage monitoring circuit that outputs a signal to indicate the release of a reset after a certain period of delay when a supply voltage rises above a specified value. CONSTITUTION:An oscillation circuit 6 produces an oscillation signal having a constant frequency. A frequency divider 13 supplies to an output circuit 11 a signal that shows a time after a predetermined period from when a supply voltage rises above a specified value. The output circuit 11 outputs a reset control signal which indicates a reset when the supply voltage drops below a specified value, and outputs a rest control signal which indicates a reset for a given period from the time when the supply voltage rises above a specified value. A switching circuit 12 supplies a supply voltage to the oscillation circuit 6 and the frequency divider 13 when the reset control signal indicates a reset. On the other hand, when the reset control signal indicates the release of a reset, the switching circuit 12 disconnects the supply of a power supply voltage to the oscillation circuit 6 and the frequency divider 13. |
