<p>PURPOSE:To provide an electron emitting electrode, which can be driven at a low voltage, where a plurality of fine particles are attached to the surface of an electrode. CONSTITUTION:In an electron emitting electrode 1, a plurality of fine particles 3 each made of substance having a work function smaller than that of an electrode main body 2 are attached onto the electrode main body 2. A solvent where the fine particles 3 are floated and suspended is applied to the surface of the electrode main body 2, followed by drying, and is pressed against the surface of the electrode main body 2 so that the fine particles 3 are attached to the surface of the electrode main body 2. In the electron emitting electrode 1, electric field strength in the vicinity of the fine particle 3 becomes large, thus realizing driving at a low voltage.</p> |
