<p>An automatic electrophoresis device essentially comprises a substrate-supply device (11) for delivering a substrate film (17) of determined length. The substrate film (17) is, on leaving the supply device, wetted or moistened with a buffer (18) in a substrate-wetting unit (19) and delivered to a sample-application unit (23) where samples are applied onto the substrate film. The substrate film provided with the samples is delivered to an electrophoresis unit (28) where an electric current is supplied to the substrate film, in order to cause the samples thereon to undergo electrophoresis. The substrate film (17) is controlled in such a manner by a control unit (16) that the substrate film is held inside the electrophoresis unit (28) depending on its particular length. After the electrophoresis, a decolourisation (bleaching) treatment and a drying treatment are carried out one after the other in an after-treatment unit (34) in order to obtain an electrophoretic picture and the picture is measured by photometric means using a densitometer (35). <IMAGE></p> |
