PURPOSE:To provide a motor drive circuit which suppresses power consumption, while improving motor drive current waveform rise property and frequency property, concerning a motor drive circuit and its method. CONSTITUTION:This motor driving circuit is equipped with a standard power source 1, which supplies specified power voltage, an step-up means 2, which boosts the power voltage supplied from that standard power source 1, and a selection means 3, which selects either the power voltage being outputted from that standard power source 1, based on the voltage selecting signal inputted from outside, or the power voltage being outputted from the step-up means 2. And, this is equipped with a drive means 4, which drives a motor M, based on the drive signal being inputted from outside, using the power voltage selected by the selection means 3 as the drive voltage for the motor M, and a changeover means 5, which outputs a drive signal to the drive means 4, based on the current signal flowing to the drive means 4 and the motor drive signal inputted from outside, and also outputs a voltage selection signal to the selection means 3 so as to change over the operation state. |
