Partly aromatic copolyamides contain as essential components A) 40-90% by weight of units derived from terephthalic acid and hexamethylenediamine, B) 0-50% by weight of units derived from (epsilon)-caprolactam and C) 0-60% by weight of units derived from adipic acid and hexamethylenediamine, the components B) and/or C) accounting for a total of not less than 10% by weight of the total units and the copolyamide having a triamine content of less than 0.5% by weight.
