TOCOPHEROL DERIVATIVE, ITS PRODUCTION AND USE

PURPOSE:To provide a new tocopherol derivative free from skin irritation or an allergic reaction, exhibiting an antioxidant effect and a blood circulation promotion effect, excellent in safety and moisture retention and useful as a cosmetic material, etc. CONSTITUTION:A compound of formula I [R1 to R3 are each H or methyl; G is CH2CH(OH)CH2OH or CH(CH2OH)2], e.g. tocopherol glycerin phosphoric acid diester. In addition, the compound of formula I can be obtained by reacting a compound of formula II (X is a halogen) with a compound of formula III or IV (R4 and R5 are each a hydroxyl protecting group), eliminating the protecting groups and, as necessary, converting it into its salt.
