PURPOSE:To materialize the torque control of an inexpensive four-pole synchro nous motor by deciding the mechanical position of a rotor by the detection of the position of the sensorless rotor and the detection of the minimum speed during one rotation of the said synchronous motor, in a controller of the motor for a compressor, which controls the torque of the four-pole synchronous motor for driving a compressor. CONSTITUTION:A mechanical position deciding circuit 15 outputs mechanical position deciding pulses synchronous with the mode where the speed is minimum, that is, the mode where the load of a synchronous motor 5A becomes maximum. Moreover, a rotor's position detecting circuit 6 outputs a rotor's position detection signal, concerning the position of the rotor of the synchronous motor 5A. A controller of the motor for a compressor can be gotten, which can perform the torque control of a four-pole synchronous motor by outputting the torque of the synchronous motor 5A, based on the load torque pattern of a torque pattern storage part 7B2, according to the mechanical position of the rotor being decided by mechanical position deciding pulses and the rotor's position detection signal. |
