<p>PURPOSE: To exclude a rapid increase in an engine speed during shift caused by underrating of the engine torque by substantially excluding the torque supplied by the engine by changing the normal setting of engine torque control according to the detection of the state of a rapid increase of the speed of the engine. CONSTITUTION: When starting upshifting, the torque supplied by an engine 12 is evaluated and on the basis of the torque evaluation and time, according to a prescribed pressure schedule, on-coming fluid pressure is supplied to second friction elements 30-34. Next, when the occurrence of the state of a rapid increase of the speed of the engine 12 during the supply of the on-coming fluid pressure is sensed, afterwards, the normal setting of the engine torque control is changed according to the detection of the state of the rapid increase of the speed of the engine 12, the torque supplied by the engine 12 is substantially excluded.</p> |
