PRODUCTION OF PANEL WITH FRAME

PURPOSE:To integrally bond a frame to the peripheral edge of a panel concurrently with the extrusion of the frame by a method wherein the frame is formed on the peripheral edge of the panel and integrally bonded thereto by setting a relative travel speed of the panel to a die device at a corner curve part lower than that at a linear part. CONSTITUTION:A frame material fed through a material supply path in a die body of a die device 6 is supplied from a cavity space serving also as a part of the material supply path. While this frame material is extruded out of an extrusion port through a molding space, a panel 2 and the die device 6 are relatively moved along a peripheral panel edge 60. A travel speed at a corner curve part is controlled to be lower than that at a linear part. In this manner, the frame is integrally bonded to the peripheral edge 60 of the panel 2 concurrently with the forming of the frame having a predetermined uniform cross sectional shape along the peripheral edge 60 of the panel 2.
