<p>PURPOSE: To provide a method for processing information that is included in the header of an information cell which is transmitted in an asynchronous transfer mode. CONSTITUTION: The combination of a VPI/VCI (communication path identification information/access identification information) is performed, based on a bit number that is compared with a bit number in an external header and subtracted. In a peripheral equipment (AU) on an input side, first conversion is performed into a neutral access point number and a logical output number. In a device (AMUXe) on the input side which belongs to a switch network(SN), the logical output number is converted into one identical output number, based on plural path information about different paths. The reproduction of a lost cell sequence is performed by a device (AMUXa) on an output side that belongs to a switch frame. In a device (ATUa) that belongs to the peripheral equipment on the output side, VPI/VCI combination is generated through the original bit number to a sending and transmitting system.</p> |
