PURPOSE:To provide a canned motor, capable of protecting a displacement sensor from using liquid by covering the same with a can, good in detecting sensibility, never causing malfunction and equipped with a highly reliable displacement sensor. CONSTITUTION:In a canned motor, equipped with an active type magnetic radial bearing and an active type magnetic axial bearing having a rotating body, consisting of a motor rotor 35 integrated with a main shaft 6 add supported rotatably by the magnetic bearings, an induction type sensor is employed for at least one of radial displacement sensors 23, 24 for controlling the active type magnetic radial bearing and an axial displacement sensor 41 for controlling the active type magnetic axial bearing while the induction type sensor is covered with a can.
