<p>PURPOSE:To melt and soften a contact part of a resin molded piece with an insert fitting to reduce a noise level generated during an ultrasonic inserting operation by a method wherein the insert fitting and the resin molded piece are held each under pressure between the end face of an ultrasonic vibration hone and a pedestal, and an ultrasonic torsion vibration is applied to the vibration hone. CONSTITUTION:An ultrasonic vibration hone 1 is lowered. Both a pressing force 6 and an ultrasonic torsion vibration are simultaneously applied to the ultrasonic vibration hone 1 to press an insert fitting 3 into a hole 9 of a resin molded piece 4. Since the ultrasonic vibration hone 1 and the insert fitting 3 are always in contact with each other, frictional heat is generated at the contact surface thereof. This frictional heat is transferred to the insert fitting 3 to melt and soften a contact part 8 with the resin molded piece 4. When the contact part 8 is softened so that it cannot sustain the load of the pressing force 6, the insert fitting 3 is pressed into the hole 9 of the resin molded piece 4. Therefore, a noiseless ultrasonic inserting method is established with a large energy saving effect in an inserting operation.</p> |
