PURPOSE:To obtain a water-soluble oil composition which can exhibit excellent rustproofness and cutting quality, contains neither a sulfur compound additive nor a chlorine compound additive, is useful as a processing oil used in various fields of machining, especially as a cutting and grinding oil, and is excellent both in an improvement in working environment and in the prevention of environmental pollution during waste liquor disposal. CONSTITUTION:The composition consists of 2-50wt.% 8-54C higher fatty acid, 0.5-25wt.% 6-24C amine which forms an oil-soluble reaction product by neutralization with the fatty acid, 2-50wt.% water-soluble amine, and 2-95wt.% water-soluble polyalkylene glycol derivative having a molecular weight of 200 to 100,000. The oil is obtained by dispersing this composition in an aqueous medium. |
