REMOTE CONTROL CAMERA AND CONTROL METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: To simplify a structure and to miniaturize a camera by utilizing a photodetector capable of sensing infrared rays provided for automatic focus adjustment and sensing remote control transmission signals. CONSTITUTION: A remote transmitter 1 emits the control signals of the infrared rays provided with fixed frequency and impact ratio through an infrared ray lnght emission diode IRED1 to a remote receiver (camera main body) 20 corresponding to the operation of a remote shutter switch S1 . The infrared ray signals are sensed by the photodetector PSD of an automatic focus adjustment and remote reception part 202 and prescribed signals are outputted to a central processing unit 201. The central processing unit 201 recognizes a remote control operation and outputs the ON signals of a release switch SW2 . Thus, the automatic focus adjustment and remote reception part 202 emits the infrared rays to an object by the infrared ray light emission diode IRED and senses the infrared rays reflected from the object by the photodetector PSD for the automatic focus adjustment.
