PURPOSE:To provide a process for production of water wheel parts which can easily produce buckets, needle chips, etc., having wear resistance to sand and soil for the Pelton wheel of a hydraulic power plant which takes water from rivers, etc., where a large amt. of sand and soil coexist. CONSTITUTION:The surface 6a for collision against dynamic water of the base body part constituting material of the bucket 6 to be directly exposed to jet water flow 1a is formed to a size taking the thickness of films 15 to be deposited thereon into consideration. The tungsten carbide films 15 of the graded compsn. gradually changing from the material of the base body part constituting material 11 to the constituting material of the films 15 between the surface of the base body part constituting material 11 and the surface of the films 15 are formed by a reduced pressure plasma thermal spraying method on the above base body part constituting material 11. |
