<p>PURPOSE: To facilitate watching auxiliary information that is displayed together on a screen, when there is much reception noises in a signal search mode and when a new channel is selected and a video image is entered in a signal- searching TV receiver. CONSTITUTION: A TV set has a selector 10, which searches for a TV signal in a search mode, video signal processing channels 16, a display device 20, an auxiliary signal source 44 which shows auxiliary information and a device 40 that decides when the selection of a new channel has been completed, and this deciding device 40 performs (a) an operation control of the selector 10, (b) a control of the erasure of a signal that is supplied to the device 20 and (c) a control of whether a timing signal that is supplied to the source 44 and the device 20 responds to a synchronous component of an output signal of the selector 10 or is unrelated to the synchronous component.</p> |
