PURPOSE: To prevent a disk from tilting in a cartridge housing when a cartridge is loaded, unloaded not by releasing the restriction of the disk until just before the disk is engaged with a drive spindle. CONSTITUTION: A ring shape disk 40 is mounted on a disk hub 42 having an armature 43. The armature 43 is provided with a flange 44 with a ring shape peripheral edge, and is engaged with a lock plate by a bias spring 52 fixed to the bottom wall 51. The lock plate and a pin 55 housed in an opening 56 form a rigid lever to suppress the upward movement of the armature 43 and the disk hub 42 together with the spring 52. That is, when the armature 43 receives upward force from the bottom wall 51, the disk 40 and the disk hub 42 are restricted so as to be turned only by a minute angle. Thus, the disk 40 is locked forcedly when the cartridge isn't used, and is inserted into the drive housing and take out from it.
