PURPOSE:To obtain a current adjusting apparatus for adjusting the current, which is supplied into a light emitting means for irradiating part to be measured with light so that the measurement of the width of the sliding surface of an electric-car cable that is the part to be measured is not affected with contamination. CONSTITUTION:The light from an LED 4 is cast on a sliding surface 1a of an electric-car cable 1. The reflected light from the sliding surface part 1a is received with a CCD sensor 3 through a rod lens 2. The received light signal is sequentially converted into the electric signal in the width direction of a part to be measured with a P-S converter 5. The signal is supplied into a P/H circuit 7 through a gate circuit 6, and the peak value is detected. The kind of the part to be measured corresponding to the peak value and the value of the current, which is supplied into the LED 4, are selected in a table, which is stored in a ROM/RAM beforehand. The optimum current for the selected kind of the electric-car cable 1 is supplied into the LED 4. |
