The separator reverses the main flow direction, and comprises a cyclone followed by a collector vessel for the separated particles. At the cyclone outlet is a supporting component (12) stabilising the flow characteristics and centring the central eddy. The component is secured by meshwork (12A) secured by its edge near the cyclone outlet, and coarser than the largest particle to be separated. It can be held taut in a frame (12B) at the outside edge and fixed to the supporting component at the middle. USE/ADVANTAGE - Particularly to recover paint in powder form from a spraying cubicle. Gives proper eddy-centring while preventing deposits at cyclone outlet.
