摘要 A test head applied to an object contains an electromagnetic system (21) for generating an alternating magnetic field parallel to the test object surface and applicable to the object. A transducer coil (22) is provided for generation and reception of ultrasonic waves. The transducer coil and the magnet system of each test head are independently guided and moved perpendicularly wrt. the surface of the test object and can be pressed against the surface by spring elements. USE/ADVANTAGE - For testing electrically-conductive objects using alternating field magnetisation, esp. for longitudinal and transverse flaw pipe testing. Reliable material defect testing is achieved in addition to wall thickness testing.
