Arcing detector for LV switch appts.

The detector is used to detect arcing between the collector rails in LV switch appts., using at least one Hall sensor (1) lying within the effective range of the magnetic field caused by the arcing.Pref. the detector uses at least one omnipolar Hall sensor, which only alters its switch state in response to a magnetic field parallel to its sensor surface. The sensors may each lie between two adjacent current collector rails (3) at a distance of between 1 and 10 cm to the latter.
