The holder (2) can hold the samples in a tensionally and/or positive condition in which it can be free to be turned around and reversed. It has two flat parts (4) holding part of the samples (1) between them and in the form of flat, preferably rectangular strips which are joined to one edge or border of a hinge, fold (6) or such like. The holder parts are fixed by fastenings in the form of hooked pile fasteners or press studs. At least one of the holder has attachments (8) facing the other holder and preventing the samples from slipping. The attachments are in the form of orthogonal protuberances in the form of fine short needles fitting into a mounting (9) of fabric, felt or foam. ADVANTAGE - Flat samples can easily be replaced and removed and is easy to manipulate.
