Data transfer between biomagnetic data source and processing system in UNIX (RTM) environment - has interrupt routine for controlling first direct data transfer between buffer and input=output memory, and second direct data transfer between ring buffer memory and target memory
摘要
The output of a data source (2) is transferred into a data buffer (6) at a rate of around 500 kbyte/second and is transmitted via an interface (8) to an input/output memory (12) over a direct memory access transfer bus (10). The data transfer is controlled by an interrupt service routine (16) of a driver module (14). The I/O memory-stored data is transferred to a ring and buffer memory (18) and from here may be transmitted onwards to a target memory (24). This takes place under control of an archiving process (20). USE/ADVANTAGE - Eg for standardised non-real-time operating system eg UNIX (RTM) with accelerated high speed data transfers for data archiving eg of biomagnetic data source.
