Circuit board relay with auxiliary terminals - provided by conductive contact rails attached to insulating sidewall of relay housing

The relay has a housing (1) with terminal pins (2,3) projecting perpendicularly from its base, cooperating with respective circuit board terminals. At least one insulating sidewall (7,8) of the relay housing has an attached conductive contact rail (9) provided with a pair of circuit board terminal pins (10) at its bottom end and a flat plug terminal (12) at its top end. Pref. the contact rails are attached to the sidewall of the relay housing via deformable pins (14) projecting from the latter. ADVANTAGE - Compact relay with low mfg. cost allowing simple modification for directing high currents.
