The damping mass (3) is supported at a fixed point below its centre of gravity. It is supported against the building structure by at least one spring element units normal, vertical position. The spring element(s) is vertically adjustable, at its force introduction point, against the damping mass and/or the building structure. Between the latter and the damping mass are fitted the damping elements (11). Pref. at least the lower part of the damping mass is conical with downwards directed taper (6). USE/ADVANTAGE - For lightweight chimneys, mast, tall tower structures etc., with single compact design and wide damping range.
